This year's Curriculum Camp will not only have breakout sessions hosted by practicing educators in the Fox School District, but we will also feature some of the most innovative educators and dynamic speakers in the St. Louis area.
Dr. Chris McGee
Dr. Chris R. McGee currently served the Webster Groves School District as the curriculum coordinator for science and social studies and as an administrative intern. Dr. McGee is a Google Certified Teacher and certified Power Search, along with being recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator. Dr. McGee also serves as the CEO of ConnectED Learning St. Louis, a non-profit organization that focuses on redefining professional learning for educators. Patrick Dempsey
Patrick currently serves the Webster Groves School District as a middle school science teacher. Patrick is a Google Certified teacher who is passionate about the Maker movement and giving all students the ability to learn through creating. Patrick has had a variety of experiences with BYOD, robotics, mobile learning, flipped teaching, and makerspaces in the classroom. Manuel Herrera
Manuel currently serves the Affton School District as the Coordinator of 1:1 Programming. Manuel helped to deploy Google Chromebooks to all Affton High School teachers and students. Previously, Manuel served the Normandy School District as its Instructional Technology Coordinator. Manuel has presented a several conferences including METC, M3, and EdcampSTL. Manual also serves the Connected Communicator for ConnectED Learning St. Louis, a non-profit organization that focuses on redefining professional learning for educators. Don Eckert
Don currently serves the Webster Groves School District as a middle school ELA and social studies teacher and has been in education for over 27 years. Don is passionate about inspiring students to learn, wonder, imagine, problem-solve, create, and collaborate. He is constantly investigating and applying methods of implementing cutting-edge technology to enhance learning and collaboration. Don has experience in project-based learning, 20% time, and technology integration. Don serves on the #EdcampSTL planning committee, along with presenting at state, regional and national conferences. Melissa Hellwig
Melisa currently serves the Webster Groves School District as a middle school math and science teacher. She has been in education for nearly ten years. Melissa is passionate about 20% time, student-designed learning, problem-based learning, creating an engaging classroom climate, and personalizing the learning experience for each of her students.
